Q:Are all VisionClub™ plans the same?
Not always, we also tailor them to suit you, based on your needs, lifestyle and clinical history. Family history of glaucoma? We'll include all the appropriate tests. Concerned about macular degeneration or dry eyes? We will create a dedicated plan just for you.

Q:What about NHS sight tests?
The majority of our NHS eligible patients also prefer to have the extended eye examinations and the superior award-winning eye care that this provides. We discount the cost of the plan by £1 per month for our NHS patients and credit the value of any NHS vouchers to all NHS eligible patients. Due to recent NHS cutbacks many patients require more frequent follow ups. NHS eye tests are now often restricted to once every 2 years for many. VisionClub™ allows us to see you as often as is necessary with no additional charges for extra consultations, tests and additional examinations.

Q:Can patients pay for an enhanced eye exam as they go?

Yes they can. The current charge for an eye exam with Zeiss OCT sub-retinal eye scans (up to 6 scans on both eyes) and Optomap ultra-wide field scan and Zeiss FDT scan is £140. Still great value compared to the cost of a single OCT scan at either The Nuffield or Spire Hospital in Leicester which costs £200 (single scan on one eye) and this figure excludes other consultation charges to review your results etc. As these enhanced diagnostic tests and others will be repeated on a regular basis, the VisionClub™ programme had been made to offer you peace of mind, convenience, affordability and flexibility that offers you exceptional eye care and great value for money.

Q:If an entire family wears spectacles can VisionClub™ help there too?
Yes we can! You can add additional members – there is a 10% discount for couples and  for a limited period we currently also offer FREE membership for up to 3 children (under 16). Family concessions are eligible for parents, partners and siblings at the same address or even for grandchildren at a different address to their grandparents. VisionClub™ is the smart way to care for your and your family’s most precious sense.

Q:What about contact lens wearers?
VisionClub™ provides an easy monthly direct debit payment scheme to cover the costs of examinations and provide discounts on glasses and sunglasses. For contact lens wearers a small addition sum from just £3 per month can be added that then includes all your contact lens follow-ups and reviews too as well as receiving your contact lenses at internet prices.

Q:What is the emergency glasses service?
VisionClub™ is designed to be your first point of call for any eye care problem or emergency with your glasses. In the event of loss or damage to your primary pair of glasses we will make you up a new single vision pair with stock lenses that will allow you to function whilst your original pair is replaced or repaired. Only a £10 admin fee will be charged on ordering your emergency pair and they will normally be made ready in 24 hours.

Q:How long do I need to sign up for?
The minimum contract period is18 months, during which time you can attend for as many examinations as needed. Payments for VisionClub™ membership are made by easy monthly direct debit. There are no limits on the number of purchases of spectacles or sunglasses at discounted rates based on your needs, lifestyle or fashion preference whilst on the programme. After this time, you can cancel anytime with just 1months written notice.
