Volpa Appointed to Spin Cycletta Forward

PERTH, Scotland - Feb. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Human Race, the UK’s largest mass participation events organiser, has appointed Volpa to head up the marketing and public relations brief that will drive the expansion of their Macmillan Cycletta Series of women-only cycling events that are expected to welcome over 5000 female participants across the country in 2015.

Volpa has managed the regional PR for the event in Scotland since it launched in 2013, and brings its wealth of knowledge of mass participation cycling to the role, as well as multi-award winning event marketing calibre as the only Scottish agency to have won the Scottish Event Awards for marketing strategy twice.

Cycletta launched in 2012 and was the UK’s first women-only mass participation cycling event. Since it launched over 10,000 women have taken part in a Cycletta series event at locations across the country. With growth in women’s cycling growing in momentum, and demand for more challenging sportives becoming apparent, Cycletta has extended its distances to 150km this year across a number of their events to accommodate demand.

Volpa’s event credentials include The Enchanted Forest which attracts over 46,000 visitors every year, Etape Caledonia which sells out 5000 places in less than 48 hours and the Blair Castle Highland Gathering which attracts thousands of spectators and participants every year. Cycletta is one of several new contract wins for Volpa in recent months and adds to a growing stable of clients for the agency.
