The 25 Dream Campaign Hosts it First Annual, "Empower U Dream," Educational Event

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES, CA – February 5, 2015 The 25 Dream Campaign, a 501(c)3 dedicated to educating and empowering young people, is holding its first annual Empower U Dream Workshop, whose theme for 2015 is “Dream-Plan-Act-Pray, “ on Saturday, March 28, 2015.  This event will take place at the El Segundo Library, 111 W. Mariposa Ave. El Segundo, CA 90245 from 12:00PM - 3:00PM.

As a non-profit organization whose goal is to create content, that inspires young minds to dream, and builds their character to sustain their dreams, The 25 Dream Campaign hosts educational events designed to help young people gain an understanding of self and the qualities needed to thrive as a healthy, productive, independent citizen.

“After abruptly leaving my ex-husband, I realized I had to redefine who I was. I had lost all of me and I was trying to find me again,” said Megan Faux, founder of The 25 Dream Campaign and the Empower U Dream.   “This process made me want to help young people find themselves, possibly for the first time. “

Empower U Dream provides an opportunity for young people, ages 15-21, to begin thinking and crafting the life they want. This workshop serves as a source of power and a bridge to selfhood.   “This age range is one where many young women encounter intimate partner abuse, “ said Faux ”My hope is that by helping to provide a strong sense of selfhood we can decrease the number of incidents.  Later on in the year, we will be holding workshops specifically tailored towards prevention of intimate partner abuse. “

Faux believes it is important to teach young people to craft the life they want which begins with crafting self.  During the workshop participants develop a personal mission statement, set goals, discover the best method of goal follow through, identify affirmations to support goals and dreams, and finally they come to know the power of planning.

Faux is an educator, entrepreneur, speaker and workshop developer.  She taught second grade for many years, then served as an instructional coach providing training and instructional strategies for teachers. She also created the Multiply in Minutes program that teaches children how to multiply rapidly and is now working on her book entitled, Red Flags  Purple Ribbons: An Intimate Partner Abuse Prevention Guide,  to be released on October 5, 2015.  She has used her career experience to create and deliver content that will help to build the future of humanity (our youth).
