Partnership Leads to Better Drill Out, Fewer Damages, Fast Turnaround

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio - Feb. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- A strategic partnership between oilfield service companies allowed for a successful drill out for Eclipse Resources Corporation (Eclipse) with significantly reduced connection and tube damages at six wells in Guernsey County, Ohio.

Through a packaging of services, Wellsite Rental Services (Wellsite) and Deep Well Services (DWS) of Zelienople, Pa., recently performed a drill out of multiple frac plugs on a six well pad. DWS successfully drilled out all frac plugs on the wells with no harm to people or the environment and with no damage to its equipment, other than normal wear and tear. Wellsite experienced only eight damaged connections from the use of the tubing for all wells ─ what Wellsite’s Area Manager Rick Levengood said is a "phenomenal accomplishment," because few operators experience such low levels of damages.

The partnership also meant Eclipse worked with just one point-of-contact and the project was completed safely and efficiently, Completion Manager Kyle Bradford said.

“Deep Well Services had a significant contribution to Eclipse’s ability to drill out 165 plugs and install production tubing in an average of 2.2 days per well on the Andy Yoder pad,” Bradford said.
