Amadeus rolls out its preferred POS technology to two new client sites, Cadbury World and Dudley Zoo

RUNCORN, U.K. - Feb. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- AURES Technologies incorporating J2 Retail Systems,  and its solutions partner Verteda formerly Agilysys (Europe) Ltd, have been complimented by award-winning caterer Amadeus for the new point-of-sale technology solutions they have installed for Cadbury World and Dudley Zoological Gardens.

Over the past 9 months, Amadeus, part of the NEC Group, has added to its growing portfolio of fixed-site visitor attractions by securing a number of new contracts with clients including Cadbury World and Dudley Zoo.  On both occasions, it has turned to its incumbent technology partner Verteda (formerly Agilysys Europe Ltd) for a complete solution encompassing point-of-sale and stock management software and touchscreen terminals.

Verteda is known for its client base of conference centres, arenas, stadia and visitor attractions.  The solutions provider has for a number of years supplied technology to manage hundreds of points-of-service across the NEC Group’s principal venues, the NEC, the Barclaycard Arena, ICC and Genting Arena.

InfoGenesis™ POS software is an advanced POS solution. This award-winning software is designed to serve guests more effectively while enhancing efficiency and profitability.  Eatec®, a flexible Windows®-based system for foodservice and hospitality, includes core purchasing, inventory, recipe, forecasting, production and sales analysis functions plus optional catering, restaurant and other modules in a single web-enabled solution.  Cash Manager links with stock, retail and resource management systems to provide a single tool for revenue assurance, reconciliation and monitoring.

For both of these new venues, PC-based touchscreen hardware from J2 Retail Systems is being deployed.  Amadeus selected the J2 225, now marketed as the Ninô, one of the market’s most compact terminals.  The J2 225 has a small, neat footprint and occupies little space at the till point.  With a casing designed to resist spills, dust and grease, the J2 225 is well suited to a busy food & beverage service environment.

Having won the Cadbury World contract in November 2013, Amadeus transformed the café into an eye-catching venue serving quality food and snacks, ready for a January 2014 opening.   Amadeus also runs the Cadbury World Refreshments Cabin and caters for private and corporate events.

The Dudley Zoo contract was won two months later and became operational in April 2014.  Here, Amadeus is providing food and beverage services in The Oak Kitchen at The Queen Mary Restaurant, The Grey Lady Tavern and from kiosks during high season.  In addition, Amadeus is using its event management experience to grow hospitality business within the 11^th-century Dudley Castle.  Amadeus already runs similar operations at heritage venues including Stoneleigh Abbey, Hagley Hall and Kenilworth Castle.
