The Russian government is considering price regulation again

Dvorkovich said that the government could freeze prices. “Only don’t be upset then that there is buckwheat deficit in the country,” – warned the Deputy Prime Minister.

In addition, at the end of 2014 the head of Industry and Trade Ministry Denis Manturov also spoke about price freezing. “If producers and distribution networks will violate the beneficial regime which we have formed today, we have rather strong instruments in place to freeze prices for products through legislative measures,” – he said.
