Follow on Google News | Christmas comes early to Scottish Highlands in new filmBy: Magic Monkey Films Premise : Two strangers stranded on Christmas eve team up to try and get home in time for Christmas. Multi-Award Winning and BAFTA Nominated filmmakers Ryan Hendrick & Robert McGroary reunite for the first time since their acclaimed short film CHOICES (Bafta Scotland Nominee - New Talent 2010). BAFTA Award Winning Producer David Newman (THE STATE OF GREENOCK) and acclaimed actor and theatre director Kenny Boyle (STILL GAME, WE NEVER LAND) who are currently gearing up to shoot Hendrick’s epic RomCom Road Movie JOURNEY BOUND next year are also involved in this festive tearjerker. The story follows Rob and Jen, who meet when they find themselves stranded in a small village during a heavy snow fall. Both dealing with their own recent tragedies. The couple find themselves alone for Christmas. With nothing to lose the pair pull their resources to try and get home in time for Christmas. Writer/Director Ryan Hendrick said, “This is about two people who come into one another’s lives at a time of the year when no-one should be alone.” “This little vignette is a perfect road test for us before we embark on our epic feature film JOURNEY BOUND next year. It is a film pitched in a similar vein to JOURNEY BOUND and has a very poignant message.” The filmmakers are preparing to embark on their debut feature film JOURNEY BOUND next year with Scots stars Ford Kiernan, Clare Grogan, Sylvester McCoy and Caitlin Blackwood already signed up. “I’ve always wanted to make a Christmas film and what better than a poignant heart-warmer set on the night before Christmas.” PERFECT STRANGERS will be rolling out to film festivals internationally in the new year.
