TVS Classic Sports Channel on Daily Motion.Com Adds 1979 Virginia vs. Duke Basketball Classic

CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. - Feb. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- The TVS Television Network is presenting the 1979 Duke vs. Virginia college basketball classic on it's channel on Daily Motion.Com. TVS was the major producer of college basketball from it's inception in 1960 through the 1980's.

Virginia was led by future coach Jeff Jones and star Jeff Lamp, while Duke had future NBA stars Mike Gmnski, Gene Banks, and Jim Spanarkel. The Blue Devils were coached by Bill Foster and the Cavaliers by Terry Holland.

This game was produced by the Castleman D Chesley Television Company. Chesley was a pioneer independent TV sports producer who specialized in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Announcers are the legendary Jim Thacker and a young Billy Packer.
