Follow on Google News | NYC Social To Conduct Innovative Experiment On Romance With ‘Fall In Love Spectacular'If you’ve ever been single, then you know that Valentine’s Day just plain sucks! However, one well-respected company is on a mission to change that.
By: NYC Social “In New York City everyone leads pretty busy lives which makes it hard to meet new people —let alone meet that special someone,” explained Amy Short, president and founder of NYC Social. That’s why for the very first time and just in time for Valentine’s Day, NYC Social will conduct a unique social experiment called ‘The Fall In Love Spectacular.’ A popular New York newspaper recently explored this uncommon approach to dating, and the results were rather intriguing, proving that two complete strangers can, in fact, fall head over heels for one another. “An experiment like this is cohesive with NYC Social’s mission and is really just fun!” explained Short. “Who knows—the love of your life might just be three dozen questions away.” From a person’s favorite color to what they’re most grateful for, the 36 questions will run the gamut but are based on ones published in a study by a psychologist called ‘The Experimental Generation of Interpersonal Closeness.’ The idea of the study is that when two strangers are in an environment with mutual vulnerability and intimacy, a romantic relationship is more likely to bloom. ‘The Fall In Love Spectacular’ Since 2004, NYC Social has made it its mission to connect people with athletic activities like yoga, kickball, volleyball and many more. These co-ed sports, for all experience levels, easily encourage networking while taking the awkwardness out of it. For information on NYC Social, visit nycsocial.com. End
