Morningday Community Solutions Donates Home Improvement Supplies To Veterans, United Way Of Broward

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - Feb. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- MORNINGDAY COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS DONATES HOME IMPROVEMENT SUPPLIES TO VETERANS OF UNITED WAY OF BROWARD COUNTY’S MISSION UNITED PROGRAM

February 2, 2015, Pompano Beach, FL … Morningday Community Solutions (MCS), is a local nonprofit who supports other nonprofits and those whom they serve, will donate free home improvement supplies to U.S. veterans involved in the United Way of Broward County’s Mission United program. The veterans will receive credits for free goods, thanks to a grant from Comerica Bank.

On February 7, 2015, 17 veterans and representatives from the United Way of Broward County’s Mission United program will visit MCS’ Framing Hope Warehouse in Pompano Beach, FL, where they will be given the unique opportunity to shop the Warehouse and select items that they need for their own and family home improvement projects.

The 10,000 square foot facility is filled with a wide variety of donated home products and supplies from fifteen Home Depot stores and other retailers in Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade Counties.

The veterans are involved in the United Way of Broward County’s Mission United program, which supports U.S. military veterans and their families in Broward County by helping them re-acclimate to civilian life. Key focus areas include employment readiness, education, health, legal assistance, emergency financial aid, and housing.

Greg Bales, founder of Morningday Community Solutions, commented, “The United Way of Broward County is a valued nonprofit member of MCS, and thanks to the Comerica grant, we’re very proud to extend our Framing Hope Warehouse services to local veterans who have sacrificed so much for all of us.”

In addition to helping veterans improve their homes, MCS’ redistribution efforts have saved local nonprofits more than $1.5 million to date, and saved more than 100,000 pounds of waste from entering local landfills.
