Sofitel Manila Presents Shēngxiào Zodiac Menu at Spiral

PASAY CITY, Philippines - Feb. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Welcome the Year of the Sheep with auspicious delicacies specially made for the Chinese New Year festivities from delectable appetizers to delightful desserts.  Enjoy a sumptuous Shēngxiào Zodiac menu prepared by Executive Sous Chef Mok Chee Wah for Chinese New Year from 17th to 22nd of February, 6 :30PM – 10 :30PM.

Guests can discover the dish that best describes them in this year of the Sheep. Chef Mok has specially prepared a dish that highlights each quality of the Chinese zodiac sign and all with auspicious ingredients.

For those born in the year of the horse, he proposes the Wok fried Venison meat with red pepper in pepper sauce, for the year of the rat, the deep fried frog leg with dried chili Szechuan style, for the year of the rabbit, the braised rabbit meat with black mushroom, for the dragon, wok fried lobster with chili sauce, for the year of the snake, steamed eel with pickle chili in soy sauce, year of the monkey; stuffing mini abalone and mushroom with minced shrimp in oyster sauce, for the year of the dog, braised meat ball with water chestnut in tomato sauce, for the year of the pig, slow cook pork knuckle and sea moss in dried scallop sauce, for the rooster, roasted chicken with Taiwan brown bean sauce, for the tiger, deep fried tiger lapu-lapu with sweet and sour sauce, for the ox ; slow cook oxtail with white radish and carrot. Lastly to highlight the year of the sheep, the red pan fried lamb chop with rosemary sauce.

Included in the dinner is a distinctive selection from the 21 dining ateliers of Spiral. Book a private dining room in advance which can accommodate 12 people. For a more opulent celebration, the Indulgence, Epicure and Decadence rooms can be merged together to fit up to 36 people.

Catch the special Dragon and Lion dance performance on the 18th and 19th of February. For the 18th of February, performances are from 7 :00 pm until 8 :30 pm and on the 19th of February from 11:00 am until 12 :30pm.
