LOS ANGELES - Feb. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Mona Parsa, Esq. will be hosting and presenting at the T.H.E. Health and Wellness Centers La Brea Ground Opening VIP Luncheon, celebrating T.H.E.’s newest, state of the art medical and dental facility serving kids, teens and adults in South Los Angeles.  Top community leaders and civic organizations will be in attendance, including Congresswoman Karen Bass, Senator Dianne Feinstein, The LA Mayor’s Office, Senator Barbara Boxer and Representative from the Governor’s Office.  The event will be held on Friday, February 7, 2015 from 10:00 AM at 12:00 PM at the Historic Site of the Former Baldwin Hills Theater (3741 S. La Brea, Los Angeles, CA 90016).   This VIP luncheon is for invited guests only.

Mona Parsa is an attorney with extensive experience in international affairs and human rights. She has been seen working with national agencies and international organizations such as the State Department’s U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) and the Bahá'íInternational Community at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Mona has also served as a high school Street Law instructor for at-risk and learning-disabled youth on civil rights and responsibilities and has been recognized for her legal advocacy skills.

Mona’s passion for children and youth spurred her to develop, And So You Were Born (http://www.andsoyouwereborn.com/).  An intercultural, interfaith and personalizable children’s gift book encouraging a purpose-led life for youngsters, the book garnered a 2014 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award.  For technology-loving children, ASYWB is accompanied by its interactive, first-of-its-kind book app version for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, which has landed in the TOP 100 Book Apps in the U.S. iTunes App Store and on top charts in countries around the world.

Other published work includes Mona’s Legal Briefs on Immigration Reform of the Top 25 Legal Minds in the Country. This is an immigration reform resource book with contributions from notable figures. Mona has published various legal articles featured in papers internationally.

Continuing her desire to assist individuals to reach their highest calling, Mona launched http://LegalGreenRoom.com to empower her generation with legal literacy to apply in their daily lives.
