Design Agency Alive With Ideas Releases Report Into Creativity At Work

Alive With Ideas announces the release of their latest report – Exploring Creativity in the Glorious World of Internal Communication.
 
BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Jan. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- The report highlights that 93% of communications professionals acknowledge the importance of creativity in internal communications but only 6% think it’s being used to its full potential.

Alive conducted a global survey of over 160 communicators spanning industries ranging from food and drink, charities, local authorities, department stores, financial providers, police forces, marketing companies, travel agencies, accountants, retailers and government agencies.

The survey results have been combined with top tips, ideas and thoughts from industry experts about how to be more creative in the workplace. The full study is available upon request and is free of charge.

What the report reveals


- 93% of communicators acknowledge the importance of creativity in internal comms

- 81% say that this is reflected in the way they approach a communication/engagement strategy

- Half currently use an ESN, most recognise its potential and plan to increase creative usage in the future

- 69% use video but half admit it is only to a very basic level

- Of the 20% using gamification, half plan to work on incorporating further usage into comms strategies

- Many respondents unite over common barriers to creative working practices including opposition from leadership, time constraints, culture and budgetary issues

- A number of respondents report a ‘skills shortage’ in terms of a lack of individuals with sufficient knowledge of creativity tools and methodologies.

The findings from the survey are presented together with a thoroughly creative report that:
