His album “Sound Grammar,” received the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for music, and he was a leader of the free jazz movement of the 60’s, inventing the term “free jazz” by naming his album as such. To honor the iconic musician, Noah Preminger will hit The Beat’s stage for a special tribute from 8:00PM-12:00AM. Preminger is a Brooklyn based American jazz saxophonist whom The Hartford Courant said, “[plays] with the grace and expressiveness of a jazz veteran, the young man with a horn mixes cool restraint with emotional depth and old-fashioned poetry with contemporary bite.” Just 26 years old, he has recorded his third album and second for Palmetto Records. “Haymaker” While enjoying music, guests are welcome to a full dinner with selections such as the Sweet Chili Baby Back Ribs ($15), Earth Bowl, with your choice of protein, 5 grain pilaf, chickpea and tomato soup, roasted vegetables, rainbow carrots, turnips, pumpkin, broccoli, tahini and more ($23-26), and Herb Roasted Rack of Lamb, with truffled mushroom bread pudding and winter greens ($36).
