Local Small Business Advocates Hold Contest To Give Away A $10,000 Marketing Package

Salt Lake City & Wasatch Front, Utah – January 22nd, 2015 - Local entrepreneurs and anyone with a dream of owning his or her own business, can enter to win a marketing package worth $10,000 from Merco Local. The online marketing company & small business advocate, announces it’s first Extreme Business Makeover to help boost their local economy and support the people they work with.

Online submissions are open now until June 5th, 2015 at MercoLocal.com under Events. There are no entry fees, allowing those just starting out to apply. The applicants are asked to submit an application with a few simple questions about their business or idea, plus a YouTube video explaining why they are the right person to win. They are then asked to share their entry via social media to gain votes that will accel them to the next round.

Five entries, including those with the most votes will be selected for the finalists panel round of questions. This will then be narrowed down to one winner by a panel of five judges, consisting of Merco Local staff, local influencers and other local business owners.

Merco Local CEO, Don Hamp states, "We want to find someone passionate about their business and their local community, and give them an opportunity of a lifetime."

Judging areas will include, the business owners conviction and commitment to their area, community involvement, originality, shown need, sustainability, along with references and votes. This contest has gained fast popularity since launching and submissions are expected to soar.
