NEW YORK - Jan. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Individuals who have a passion for helping others often pursue careers in which they can continually give back to the community as much as possible.  In particular, individuals who enter the religious life have also answered the calling to be of help to others in need.  Rabbi Barry Kallenberg officiates at funerals, weddings, and unveilings, in Florida, New York, and New Jersey.  He is licensed to practice in those three states.  Rabbi Barry Kallenberg concentrates on assisting those in need.  He often makes multiple pastoral visits to various hospitals and nursing homes.

Rabbi Barry Kallenberg has also helped funeral directors who are in danger of losing their jobs.  Often, funeral directors feel more at ease in discussing issues with Rabbi W. Kallenberg who keeps their information confidential to clergy privilege.  In addition to representing them in front of a variety of boards, he also assists them in filing proper grievances with their union, and even helps them file for unemployment.  He also represents them when unemployment benefits are contested.

In addition to officiating at ceremonies centered on the cycle of life, Barry Kallenberg is involved in different types of volunteering.  Most of Barry’s volunteering is concentrated on representing many directors of funeral homes (regardless of their religious following) in front of different boards for no charge at all.  Rabbi Barry Kallenberg notes “When funeral directors are mistreated by their employers or are put in hazardous environments and need assistance in filing the correct paperwork, or need to go to the National Labor Relations Board, I am there for them.”  Rabbi Barry Kallenberg was also active in assisting funeral directors win a multi-million dollar settlement against a funeral conglomerate subsidiary, where it was determined that the employer violated the Fair Labor Standards Act, thereby not paying the proper overtime to the employees.  Barry Kallenberg is dedicated to helping individuals from all walks of life to thrive and live happy lives.

Barry feels very fortunate to be raised by supportive and caring parents.  His father was a rabbi and his mother was a homemaker.  Barry’s father taught him about helping others while his mother taught him about important values and lessons, such as not buying what you cannot afford.  Barry has an insatiable appetite for learning.  As a result of this, he advises everyone to learn as much as they can about the world, beyond one’s particular career field.  Rabbi Barry Kallenberg also volunteers to help as an advocate for employees and consumers.  Rabbi Barry W. Kallenberg is also a helpful fundraiser, through helping to organize named honorees and special events for the Federated Synagogues and the National Council of Young Israel.

Barry Kallenberg is dedicated to continually helping individuals wherever he goes.  He also owns two parking lots near Yankee Stadium, in New York City.  These parking lots have been with Barry’s family since the 1950’s.  For over 60 years, the Kallenberg family has been dedicated to providing New York City residents with parking at competitive and affordable prices.
