NEW YORK - Jan. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Frederick Sancilio, Ph.D., earned a PhD in Physical and Analytical Chemistry and an MS from Rutgers University. He has been the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Sancilio & Company since he founded the company in 2006. Dr. Sancilio brings 40 years of pharmaceutical research, development, and manufacturing and distribution industries experience and has also founded three successful pharmaceutical companies, such as aaiPharma Inc., which is a contract research organization.

  His pharmaceutical experience does not stop there however. Dr. Fred Sancilio has written over 20 articles in scientific journals which were reviewed by his peers in the pharmaceutical industry, and he  holds 14 domestic and international patents that have been presented all over the globe. To top it all off, over the span of his impressive career, Dr. Sancilio has aided in the development of over 1,000 pharmaceutical drugs marketed in the US, Europe, and Asia.

  In the years of Dr. Sancilio’s retirement, he longed to put his vast pharmaceutical experience to the test once more. His last years working with pharmaceutical companies was not aiding his dream of starting a modern global pharmaceutical company become a reality. During his studies he found it intriguing to believe that most modern medicine, like penicillin, and even aspirin, were found in nature, or at the very least modeled after substances that could be found in nature. This intrigue sparked the start of Sancilio & Company where the two main focuses are searching common natural materials for medicines and looking for uses of natural substances to prevent diseases from ever happening so that a cure isn’t required.

  Dr. Sancilio’s first major research at Sancilio & Company came after he revisited the topic of fish oils effect on cardiovascular health. Although little was known at the time exactly how beneficial fish oil is to heart health, Dr. Sancilio knew there were substances inherent in fish oil that had properties that greatly affected a person’s overall cardiovascular health.

  In 2007, Sancilio & Company began extensive research on fish oil components, and today they have developed and distribute highly purified fish oil components internationally. Dr. Sancilio is also hoping to conclude several clinical trials designed to prevent cardiovascular disease, and also hopes to bring new drugs to market that will impact the quality of life of millions of people around the world.
