Follow on Google News | Immersion Media launches Fayetteville180Weekly video magazine focusing on upcoming, local events in area.
By: Immersion Media Airing on the Fayetteville180 YouTube channel and via the website www.Fay180.com, each episode includes a different host, whom is active in the community, as well as three spotlight stories. Senior Vice President for Marketing at H&H Homes, Kristi Meave, was the host for Episode #3 and found it a fun and rewarding experience. “It was a little more challenging than I thought it would be, but the interviews were fun and it was a really good experience. And it uses a format that helps solve the age-old question of finding things to do in Fayetteville.” Immersion Media developed this concept because it was looking to become more active in its home community and heard comments that it was challenging to find out what events were occurring. “With media consumption habits changing, more people are watching and sharing short-form video than ever before. With that in mind, we had to find the right vehicle to tell these stories.” said Rick Perko, president of Immersion Media. While Fayetteville180 covers events at traditional venues like the Crown Coliseum, the Cape Fear Regional Theatre and others, it also focuses on happenings off the beaten path, such as Art Attack at The Rock Shop, the Daville Skate Shop and the local music scene. Immersion Media is focusing on growing the viewing audience and getting more community participation. Social interaction is also welcomed. Fans are encouraged to like their Facebook page and follow on Twitter @Fayetteville180. “We are happy to receive suggestions on stories to cover as well as who would be a good host,” said Perko. “The response has been very good.” Presented by Cape Fear Valley Health System with additional sponsorship from the Fayetteville Regional Chamber, the new episodes premiere each Tuesday afternoon through www.fay180.com.
