JDRF Cocktails & Canapes unveils Midnight Three & Six

JDRF West Texas Plains Branch launches of the 2015 Promise Ball Season on Thursday, January 29, 2015 with preview of Midnight Three & Six

AMARILLO, Texas - Jan. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- At the Promise Ball launch celebration, the Midnight Three & Six documentary short film will be shown. This documentary tells the story of a Fort Worth, Texas family, the Chamberlains. The documentary highlights the family’s effort to manage 16-year-old Gracie’s T1D. This short film documentary was unveiled at the Sundance Film Festival last week.  The New York Times featured the video this week.

Cocktails & Canapes will kick off the 2015 Promise Ball season, honoring the Southwest Retina Specialists with the Vision Award for their extraordinary work in diabetes research.  Southwest Retina has been supporting JDRF through fundraising, outreach, community vision screenings, and participation of on-site clinical research trials. Southwest Retina has a long-standing relationship with JDRF. Pam Lary will be recognized as the 2015 Living and Giving Award recipient. Pam Lary has supported JDRF for many years donating her creative and photographic talent. She has provided unique images of individuals living with T1D throughout our area.
