Oliver Wight Asia Pacific appoint new consultant for Hong Kong

HONG KONG - Jan. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Business improvement specialists, Oliver Wight Asia Pacific has appointed a new partner for their Asia Pacific operation.   KS Chan who joins the consultancy firm from Du Pont where he was a Senior Consultant of the Asia Centre of Excellence will be based in Hong Kong.

Oliver Wight Managing Partner, Mike Reed says, “KS has huge supply chain experience in operational and consultancy roles spanning 25 years having worked with multi-national companies such as BASF, Air Products and Unilver.  KS will be a great asset to the team offering a wide range of skills and knowledge.”

During his time at Du Pont, Chan was instrumental in the success of Du Pont’s Integrated Business Planning implementation in Asia and led the Asia Supply Chain Workstream for the Du Pont Production System Assessment and Improvement Program. Chan was also selected as Asia’s Centre of Excellence representative for Du Pont’s End to End Supply Chain Transformation Project. The project led to significant performance improvement across a number of key supply metrics including delivery to promise and inventory.

When it comes to the pursuit of business excellence Chan believes the key is through the transformation of an organisations culture: “For a business to be successful and sustain their success they need to start by making changes through the proper application of mind-set and behavioural techniques, “ he says.  At Oliver Wight Chan will be working with clients to implement this strategy and lead them to enhanced and sustainable business performance.

Chan has a degree in Construction Management and an MBA from Stirling University.  He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) and is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, Malay and English.
