AUSTIN, Texas - Jan. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Austin Real Cuauhtemoc and Pirates squared off in the TPSL week 14s only match where the final playoff spot would be decided.

Galveston needed a win to keep themselves in with a glimmer of hope of grabbing the fourth and final spot - ARC on the other hands knew that with two games in hand of their opponents, they had the luxury of winning the following games and still progressing.

As it would happen, the Austin side were in no mood to be handing out gifts to the visitors and instead handed out a lesson in finishing to emerge victorious.

As the first half neared its end, Edwin Madrid opened the scoring to give his side a 1-0 lead at the break. They added another two just 10 minutes into the second half to all but seal the win and the playoff spot that would come their way with the three points. To rub salt in the wounds Elvin Sandoval completed the rout with 10 minutes remaining to end the score at 4-0.

The two still have another meeting to occur, when they meet in the Texas State Cup Final on February 8th. Details are available here. (https://www.facebook.com/events/784524281629416/)
