By: Ronnie Wells “Say it With a Song” will feature selections from “The Great American Songbook” and the live performance act will showcase all of Ronnie Wells’ combined talents, along with his timeless appeal. “The show is being geared toward hotel and cruise type venues, and will possibly include everything from a comedic opening act, to a full band, to female background vocalists…all depending upon the venue,” says Wells. The New Jersey based musician began his long musical career in the 1960’s and throughout the years he gained much recognition as a singer and bass player in a variety of popular acts that include “Ronnie Wells & The Fabulons”, “The Sound Exchange”, “Long Train” and “Billboard” Ronnie had also co-wrote and recorded the song “Shiftin’ Willie” that was performed by Conan O’Brien in a live comedy skit filmed in Mahwah, New Jersey and later used in an episode of the “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” show. What also sets Ronnie Wells apart from most other professional musicians is that he managed to have a long and successful career in the medical field as well. After graduating from St. Peters College and New York University, Ronnie began practicing as a Respiratory Therapist and as a Physician Assistant by day, and performing gigs at night. While the dueling worlds gave his life the ideal symbiotic balance, Ronnie admits that switching back and forth from the opposing personas also had its challenges.“ In 2010, he retired from the medical field and began devoting himself full-time to writing, arranging, recording and producing music. Now a grandfather of seven, Ronnie Wells still shows no signs of slowing down and is ready for his return to the spotlight.
