Dr. Victoria Boyd Discusses The Philantrepreneur Method with Guy Dawson

Dr. Boyd began the foundation in 2013 after writing a blog about a new word she had heard in the non-profit sector, philantrepreneur. The term combines the entrepreneur and philanthropy concepts. Her company shows companies and non-profits to improve their organizational management. Companies learn to extend their support to their communities by creating more strategic plans to implement. Non-profits also learn to utilize their resources more efficiently. Today, she has expanded the foundation to include a radio show called The Philantrepreneur Show, and also publishes The Philantrepreneur Magazine.

“I’m excited to talk with Guy about The Philantrepreneur Foundation and method,” she said. “It allows me to assist others by sharing tips and strategies to help improve their organizations.”

Dr. Boyd has years of experience in the arts and also has a passion for education. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, she found her passion for both in dance. She taught high school dance for 28 years in Michigan. She also received her doctoral degree in organizational management from Wayne State University in Detroit. She moved to Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2003 to work for the Nevada Dance Ballet Theatre. Today, Dr. Boyd is also an author, trainer, a mentor, and still manages to teach various nonprofit management courses at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
