LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - Jan. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- The esteemed Long Island matrimonial law firm formerly known as Samuelson, Hause & Samuelson, LLP has added two new partners and changed their firm name to Samuelson Hause Samuelson Geffner & Kersch, LLP. Both attorneys made invaluable contributions to the firm over the years and served as diligent advocates for clients who are involved in complex matrimonial and family law disputes.

Attorneys Alisa J. Geffner and Carolyn D. Kersch are graduates of Hofstra University School of Law. They are licensed to practice law by the state of New York and are members of the Matrimonial and Family Law committees of the New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association.

While in law school, Attorney Geffner was the recipient of a Citation of Excellence for her work in the Child Advocacy Clinic. Passionate about this area of law, Attorney Geffner lectured at the Nassau County Bar Association and taught law students at Hofstra Law School and New York Law School on various matrimonial law topics.

Attorney Carolyn D. Kersch was the Managing Editor of Articles for the Family Court Review in law school, where two of her articles were published.  In 2014, Attorney Kersch was recognized in the New York Metro Super Lawyers® Magazine Rising Stars℠ list for her professional and effective work on behalf of matrimonial clients in the New York metropolitan area.
