Land Rover to Sponsor 4th Annual Sporting Clays Shoot

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - Jan. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- On January 30^th, 2015 the Forest City Gun Club will host its annual Sporting Clays Shoot to raise money for The Children’s Relief Fund. The event will take place on the club’s Savannah, Georgia estate and run from late morning through the afternoon. Marksmanship enthusiasts from the surrounding area will be attending.

This is the fourth year for the Sporting Clay Shoot. Entry fees are $250 per person and go toward lunch, clays, ammo and a gift. If a team of four participants pitches in at least $1,000, this fee also includes the use of a golf cart for the proceedings. Contributions can also be used to sponsor the event. In this year’s shoot, Land Rover serves as the “Ammunition Sponsor.”

The Forest City Gun Club is renowned as the oldest skeet, trap and sporting clays club in America. Founded in Savannah, Georgia, the organization was formed in 1883 and chartered in 1901 as a private club. With 26 fields, a 40-acre lake, and an assortment of indoor facilities, the club has access to over 537 acres for recreation.

The Children’s Relief Fund works to provide physical, occupational and speech therapy for children whose insurance may not cover these costs or who do not have Medicaid. The Fund also provides equipment such as wheelchairs, bracing/orthotics, and more to children who may not have the opportunity to enjoy them. The organization sponsors a number of events including “Fish with Friends,” the local Special Olympics, “Challenge Camp,” and “Heroes on Horseback.”

You don’t have to be a marksman to join the Sporting Clays Shoot; you can also register as a spectator and enjoy the festivities while contributing to The Children’s Relief Fund. Land Rover is proud to be a part of this event on January 30^th, 2015 and to be able to participate in a good cause.
