WALTHAM, Mass. - Jan. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- The Exit Planning Exchange (XPX) Boston announces that Steven Gerard, CEO and Chairman of the Board at CBIZ, Inc. will be a featured speaker at the XPX Boston annual Summit on March 19th, 2015 at The Conference Center at Waltham Woods.

“The Progression of Succession” is the theme of the 2015 Summit. Well known owners and advisors, such as Gerard, will share their practical knowledge and experience on preparing for and successfully executing business succession. Gerard is one of the keynote speakers and will focus on “The Insights of a Seasoned Business Acquirer.”  Other topics in this year’s Summit include growth capital, ESOP’s, internal ownership transition, management and leadership succession and sale. The Summit will run from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM with a reception afterwards.

Over the past 15 years, Gerard has led the transformation and growth of CBIZ into one of the nation’s leading financial and employee services firms.  Prior to joining CBIZ in the year 2000, Gerard was Chairman and CEO of Great Point Capital, Inc., a provider of operational and advisory services.  His impressive career also includes 16 years with Citibank, N.A. in various senior corporate finance and banking positions and seven years with the American Stock Exchange.

In addition to featured speakers, the summit will include panelists and a fireside chat.  The highly interactive format will allow business owners and advisors to share personal lessons learned, tips and tricks, and stories regarding the requirements for successful management transition and exit.

Terry Phinney, Principal at Blackstone Management and Consulting, is the chair of the 2015 Summit.
