Valentine's Redefined, Amore At the Shore makes it worth a visit to the LBI Region this winter

SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Jan. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- With Valentine's Day falling on the Saturday of the extended President's Day Weekend this year, Long Beach Island Region is planning many ways to show your love for Beach Culture. Whether its exploring the art of chocolate making with your family, serenade during an elegant dinner for two, or teeing up with your buttercup for winter golfing.

Love of Learning

·         Valentine's Day Chocolate Making class at Tuckerton Seaport, RSVP Class runs from 2 to 330pm  Cost $15 per person includes all material.

·         Cut a rug, a Valentine Penny Rug with Lora Sparks of the Seaport Stitchers to make a sweet penny rug. Enjoy hand sewing, new stitches this February 14 from 10am-2pm Fee $50 includes all materials, Pre-registration is required by February 7 by contacting Folk Life Center at Tuckerton Seaport

·         Explore the love of Science and drop into LBI Foundation of Arts & Sciences Feb 14 Science Saturday beginning at 11am in Loveladies.

·         Call A Sweet Memory in Forked River to reserve your date and time for their Sweet Heart Tea experience including a traditional 3 course menu and a choice of teas which is all served on an array of vintage & new Valentine Themed China $21.95 per adult and $10.95 per child under 10. Dress up and pose for photos with their variety of Fancy Hats, Boa’s & Beads.

·         Feb 14-16 Victorian Tea at the Captain's House features etiquette, tea, treats in this landmark home steeped in history. RSVP $20 per person running from 1130 to 230pm at the Tuckerton Seaport

·         Tee for everyone with Cocoa Cup Open Feb 13-16, 10am-4pm Putt your way to victory in our winter mini golf tournament! All participants win a chocolate prize. Participant names go into a drawing for the Grand Prize at Tuckerton Seaport

Perfect Performances

·         Embrace the Pines and the best place to hear Country, Bluegrass and Pinelands music with a Valentine's Night Albert Music Hall performance doors open at 630pm, show starting at 730 and going until 11. Adults $5 and Children under 11 only $1.

·         The Gables Historic Inn & Restaurant presents a full weekend of exquisite a la Carte & Prix Fixe Menus Friday, Saturday & Sunday dinner from 5:30pm, Valentine's Day Saturday will feature Award Winning Italian Tenor, Michael Castaldo performing Songs of Love on Centre St in Beach Haven, overnight stays also available.
