ATLANTA - Jan. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Clinigence, a next-generation clinical business intelligence technology provider, today announced that MD Value Care and Rochester General Health System Accountable Care Organization (ACO) have implemented the company’s technology to improve their quality data collection processes. With these implementations, the organizations will leverage Clinigence’s tools to fully measure their compliance with standards from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

MD Value Care, a Medicare Shared Savings Program ACO, is a physician-led organization located in Richmond, VA. The ACO was formed in April 2012 with the commitment to be the best in quality, cost and patient satisfaction. MD Value Care selected and implemented Clinigence for its data-abstraction tool, a web-based application used to integrate with electronic health records (EHRs) and to streamline the abstraction process for the Group Practice Reporting Option (GPRO) reporting periods by CMS.

“As an organization of independent physician practices, MD Value Care believes in achieving world class results in quality, patient experience and cost-effectiveness,” said Sue Feldman, RN, MEd, PhD, and Health Informaticist at inHEALTH for MD Value Care. “We are thrilled to partner with Clinigence, and by using their tools we hope to streamline the data abstraction process to help with GPRO annual reporting.”

Rochester General Health System ACO, Inc. is also a Medicare Shared Savings Program ACO, located in Rochester, NY. The ACO was formed in July of 2013 in partnership with the Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association (GRIPA) to provide higher quality coordinated care to their patients, while helping to slow healthcare cost growth. The organization partnered with Clinigence to leverage its registry tool, a web-based data entry platform to use as a repository for quality measurement and reporting.

“Our ACO is committed to delivering the most exceptional and efficient care to every patient we serve,” said Jamie Hayslip, Chief Information Officer at Rochester General Health System ACO. “Our collaboration with Clinigence will enhance our quality measurement capabilities, and gives us the tools necessary to report and measure compliance to CMS.”

The Clinigence solution is built around several key capabilities, including clinical data analytics, data mining, predictive modeling and business intelligence. Leveraging cloud-based semantic collaboration, the solution fuels a continuous cycle of improvement in staff performance and process effectiveness while accelerating the creation of best practices.

“We are thrilled with the addition of MD Value Care and Rochester General Health System ACO as partners,” said Kobi Margolin, CEO of Clinigence. “Leveraging the timeliest clinical data will empower physicians to track their progress and measure their performance while further enhancing patient care. We are excited about this collaborative effort and look forward to both organizations’ continued achievements.”
