African Children's Choir + Tulsa Children's Chorus!

TULSA, Okla. - Jan. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- The Tulsa Children's Chorus is thrilled and honored to welcome the AFRICANCHILDREN'SCHOIR for two days on February 2nd and 3rd in a collaborative choral concert and workshop. The Tulsa Children's Chorus philosophy of choral music education extends beyond the teachings of sacred music, but intentionally includes folk, spiritual, jazz, gospel, and contemporary works from our own American heritage, as well as works from many other counties and languages.

The teaching of diverse musical styles not only enriches the knowledge and experience of the singers but also promotes understanding of other peoples and cultures. This opportunity to perform with the world-renowned AFRICANCHILDREN'SCHOIR gives our singers the ability to participate in a "being there experience" that reflects the artistic and educational vision of the program.

The African Children's Choir melts the hearts of audiences with their charming smiles, beautiful voices and lively African songs and dances. The program features well-loved children's songs, traditional Spirituals and Gospel favorites. Concerts are free and open to all. A free-will offering is taken at the performance to support African Children's Choir programs, such as education, care & relief and development programs.

Music for Life (The parent organization for The African Children's Choir) works in seven African countries such as, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.
