AURES Technologies launches its first own-brand Thermal POS Printer, the ODP 333

RUNCORN, U.K. - Jan. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Global POS hardware manufacturerAURES Technologies incorporating J2 Retail Systems has extended its product range and launched the first printer to be custom-designed and branded by the group.

The new AURES ODP 333 thermal POS printer is rugged and compact. Explains AURES Technologies’ UK Sales Director, Richard Heitmann: “The ODP 333 is exceptionally tough and full-featured, making it reliable and cost-effective for retailers and hospitality businesses operating in the harshest of POS environments.”

Compact and ergonomically designed to maximise valuable counter space, the cubic Aures ODP 333 has a very small footprint (165mm x 135mm) and is only 105mm high.  The new printer is both silent and looks good – it has a contemporary dual texture matt and lacquer finish that is available in black or white.

Its splash-proof, front receipt printout has been designed for optimum protection against spills, crumbs and dust.  “It’s ideally suited for retail, restaurants, bars and bakeries,” adds Heitmann.

Adaptable to all circumstances and uses, the AURES ODP 333 is the only printer on the market to be equipped with triple interface connectivity – RS232C Serial, USB and Ethernet Dual - enabling quick and easy integration into any POS system.   Its dual output port will support two cash drawers.

Energy Star-qualified, the ODP 333 comes with a low-power motherboard that automatically switches to stand-by mode after printing, providing energy savings of at least 30%.

Depending upon the type of paper used, it has a print life of between 35-50 million lines.  The print head has a life of 160km and the paper cutter a life of approximately 1.5 million cuts. “Users can expect a very long life and a healthy return on their investment from this rugged and reliable printer,” concludes Richard Heitmann.
