PHOENIX - Jan. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Shade Projects is proud to present I HAVE A NAME PROJECT, Art and Advocacy exhibition by Jon Linton featuring powerful imagery and a poignant selection of photography chronicling the homeless showcased in Bokeh Gallery at the monOrchid. Artist and philanthropist, Jon Linton began gathering imagery documenting the homeless on the streets of Phoenix and had volunteered both time and resources at a local shelter to better understand the plight of the ‘un-homed’ since 2007. The project's enduring mission aspires to create greater understanding for nearly 3.5 million people that call the streets their home. “It is our sincere hope that this campaign provides the viewer with an opportunity to pause from the noise and frenetic pace of life and perhaps change the way we see or more pointedly do not see the homeless”, said Linton.

The opening reception will be held on First Friday, February 6th from 6-10pm with the artist in attendance. On Friday, February 13th, Pineapple Triangle will host a special event from 5:30 to 9 p.m. with local artisans offering one-of-a-kind creations with proceeds benefiting I Have A Name’s mural project, plus a special performance by singer/songwriter D.G. Scherrer. The artist reception will be held on Third Friday, February 20th from 6-10pm with the artist giving a brief talk about this incredible project and his work. I HAVE A NAME PROJECT, Art and Advocacy will be on display in Bokeh Gallery from February 6th until February 28th, 2015.
