She added that setting clear goals also helps them to identify the steps necessary to get to their end objectives. By breaking things down into smaller steps, the Renue Marketing team makes it easier for themselves to build momentum toward their aspirations. They also write down and post their strategic aims in their office. This ensures that everyone knows what they should be doing and also increases social motivation to perform.

Renue Marketing’s Director Discusses Tricks for Setting and Reaching Goals

It probably comes as no surprise that a goal-oriented organization like Renue Marketing has a few secrets to effectively setting goals and accomplishing them. Jessi stated that their most effective trick is extraordinarily simple: they align their intentions with their company values. While this may sound like a given, it is surprising how many organization do not actively ensure that their goals are commensurate with their company vision.

“This is important to keeping everyone motivated,” explained Jessi. “Everyone is here for a reason, so we want to reinforce those reasons through the goals we set for each year.”

Another simple trick that Jessi uses is to reward her team every time they achieve a milestone, even a small one. “There is no accomplishment too small to be recognized,” she asserted. “I would argue that simply taking a moment to point out the achievement is the greatest possible reward. Of course, we do occasionally like to host a party or send top performers on retreats. Part of being a goal-focused business is making sure we make a big deal out of reaching those objectives.”
