L.A. Wolves FC Keep Winning Streak Going with 2-1 Win over SoCal Troop

TORRANCE, Calif. - Jan. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- January 18, 2015 – The L.A. Wolves FC scored a 2-1 victory over division rival SoCal Troop as the two clubs meet Saturday nightat Toyota Sports Complex in Torrance, Ca. The Wolves continued their winning ways and remained undefeated in their last ten league matches and held their positon in second place in the Western Conference closely behind Santa Monica Sporting FC who plays San Pedro on Sunday night.

The first half for the Wolves started better than they could have asked for as in the 7’ minute of play, a SoCal Defender was red carded for a violent foul against Andre Turoldo off the ball, giving the Wolves the man advantage. You would have thought the Wolves would have made a meal of the advantage but it only seemed to spark So Cal Troop as the Troop seemed to rise to the occasion and played a gusty first half match getting the first goal of the game on a counter attack giving the Troop an early lead in the 25’ minute of play. The Wolves responded and in the 35’ minute scored the tying goal off a nice passing combination between Midfielder Jamie Duffy and Andre Turoldo which ended up on the foot of Wolves Columbian Forward Luis Trujillo who headed home a nice cross from Turoldo making it 1-1 which is where the first half would end.

The second half was again a well contested match as SoCal Troop fought for the full 90’ minutes but in the 68’ minute the Wolves scored their second goal which would turn out to be the game winner. A shot by Wolves Midfielder Jamie Duffy was saved by the So Cal Troop keeper but he could not hold the ball and Wolves Forward Andre Turoldo was there to bang the ball into the back of the net making it 2-1 wHich is where the game ended.

I have to give credit where credit is due as the boys took care of business and got the three points and played a decent game otherwise. I give SoCal Troop a tip of the hat, as they played a gutsy match,and made us earn the win.
