Nicely Donates $500 to Food & Friends Through Its #BeNice Campaign

WASHINGTON - Jan. 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Washington, D.C.– Nice On Demand, better known as Nicely, donated $500 to Food & Friends through its #BeNice charity campaign.

In conjunction with its launch December 8th, 2014, Nicely launched the #BeNice campaign, a campaign that reaffirms the company’s mission to encourage and spread kindness while also pledging to donate to a charity committed to the advancement of Washington, D.C. and surrounding community.  Nicely donated $1 from every purchase to Food & Friends, a DC non-profit organization whose mission is “to foster a community caring for men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling.”

On Friday, January 16th, 2015, Nice On Demand’s CEO Whitney Jones presented the check to Tamika Hodnett, Corporate and Foundation Gifts Director as well as select Food & Friends staff and volunteers.  Nicely would like to thank all of the DC-area residents who purchased and sent a gift using Nicely during the month of December; “as a newly launched startup, without the support of the DC community using Nicely, our first #BeNice campaign would not have succeeded,” stated Jones.
