The Johnson’s Build at Windsong Manor to be Closer to Grandchildren

ATLANTA - Jan. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- ATLANTA – Many active adults long to be close to their family and watch their grandchildren grow. Separated from their loved ones, Rick and Sue Johnson decided it was time to leave Colorado and head east to be involved in their grandchildren’s lives. Windsong Manor in Dallas, Georgia, provided the Johnsons with a great location close to their family, a spacious and detached ranch home for all of their needs and a sense of community.

“Our son and daughter-in-law, who live in Villa Rica, were expecting their first baby and we wanted to be more active in her life than we had been able to with our grandson, who lives in Ashville, North Carolina,” stated Sue. Now they can more easily support Parker and attend some of his baseball games. “We are thrilled to be so much closer to them all; it’s a dream come true!” said Rick.

The Johnsons were pleased to find a detached ranch home in a community of like-minded people at the same stage of life. “Finding a ‘community’ was really important to us, and we thoroughly enjoy our new friends here at Windsong Manor,” said Rick.

The Johnsons love their low-maintenance ranch home with a finished terrace and accessibility features built-in. “Initially we thought we were ready for a single-level home, but it turned out we weren’t quite there yet,” said Sue. “The finished basement has been handy; we have additional space for entertaining with a great room and kitchenette. Also having moved from out-of-state, we have guests that come and stay several days and the terrace level offers them a private retreat.”

The residents at Windsong Manor have full access to the Seven Hills Park. There an outdoor water park offers residents a zero-entry saline pool, water play area and a large bowl slide. The park also features tennis and pickle ball courts, miles of walking paths, community gardens, a playground for the grandchildren and a clubhouse for regular community activities.

“We were delighted to be able to take our granddaughter, Isabella, to play at the pool at the Seven Hills Park this summer. It was such a delight to be there to witness her crawl for the first time,” explained the Johnsons. “The park is a wonderful place for family and offers many amenities we look forward to using.”

The Johnsons said that they felt confident that they were in good hands with the Windsong team. “We were in frequent contact with our builder who was responsive to our questions and kept the process flowing smoothly; it made building from so far away easier for us. We absolutely love our home and the community we found at Windsong Manor,” explained the Johnsons.
