Mobica expands to open new office in Mexico

An industry leader in professional software engineering services with a global customer base, Mobica has expanded its already wide reach by opening a new office in Mexico, shortly after the opening of new Polish Rzeszow office in December.

What started off 10 years ago as a small company with a handful of engineers based in the UK, Mobica’s continued success has enabled huge growth to over 700 employees in 4 countries, working with well known technology giants across a broad portfolio of sectors. The new office in Guadalajara is Mobica’s 10th site across 4 countries worldwide.

‘Guadalajara is a strategic move for us,’ says Jim Carroll, CTO of Mobica. ‘We have been working in the US market for a while but the Mexico office is the next step in what is an aggressive expansion plan that will see us continue to grow at a rapid rate.’

The new office which opened its doors for the first time just before the Christmas break is led by a small European team comprising of technology specialists. The office is expected to grow significantly over 2015 with local recruitment of dozens of roles to work on Mobica’s increasing portfolio of customer projects and rapid expansion following Mobica’s tried and tested method of developing local talent with a strong set of Mobica values and culture.

‘When we open a new office the focus is two-fold,’ explains Carroll. ‘We believe strongly in developing and supporting talent in the countries we work in, so we are starting our team with local developers. But we also have a very clear set of values and culture and therefore ensure that every new staff member is brought into the Mobica family and given the time and support of our UK and Poland teams to understand how we work and how we want to work with our customers.’

Mobica’s customer-centric approach to delivering high quality services combined with local talent is already paying dividends – even before the Mexico office officially opened its doors - with 2 large contract wins commencing development locally in Guadalajara in 2015.
