Randstad Sourceright Appoints Military Veteran Chad Sowash as Director of Veteran Recruiting

Sowash Brings Extensive Military and Recruitment Experience to Help Company’s Clients Optimize their Veteran Hiring Initiatives

ATLANTA - Jan. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Randstad Sourceright (http://www.randstadsourceright.com/), a global talent leader, today announced that Chad Sowash, an accomplished business leader and veteran with 20 years of military and talent acquisition experience, has been appointed director of Veteran Recruiting for the company’s Diversity and Compliance Center of Expertise.

In this role, Sowash is responsible for building teams and specialized programs to support Randstad Sourceright’s recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) clients. These programs focus on the attraction, engagement, hiring and retention of veterans, ensuring the company’s clients connect with qualified veteran talent and achieve compliance with all federal regulations pertaining to veteran hiring. Leveraging his extensive thought leadership in the field of veteran recruitment, Sowash also promotes market education on the benefits of hiring veterans, such as their intense training, education and soft skills, as well as their drive to succeed individually and as part of a team. Working with employers and veterans alike, he helps organizations fill skills gaps with qualified military candidates transitioning to civilian life.

“There are few individuals who so thoroughly understand the challenges veterans face as they seek employment as civilians, and the advantages they can bring to employers as Chad does,” said Bob Lopes, president of RPO for Randstad Sourceright. “Chad’s leadership experience on the battlefield, and in the boardroom alike, make him uniquely qualified to lead our veteran recruiting efforts. I am pleased to welcome him to the team and confident that his expertise will bring more awareness of veteran hiring to our clients.”

Sowash brings to this role 20 years of military experience, including combat service, experience as a drill sergeant and more than 15 years of leadership positions where he led, managed and motivated groups ranging from five to more than 200 individuals. In addition to his military service, Sowash draws upon extensive recruitment industry expertise. He previously worked for Online Career Center, the precursor to Monster.com, and spent ten years with DirectEmployers Association, where he served as vice president of Business Development. There he led and managed the development of the first complete National Labor Exchange in the U.S. and spoke before Congress on behalf of veterans and hiring companies. More recently, Sowash served as chief experience officer for RecruitMilitary and as a principal partner with Catch 22 Consulting.

In addition to his professional experience, Sowash is an Order of Saint Maurice recipient, honored by the National Infantry Association for conspicuous contribution to the Infantry.

“The transition to civilian life can be particularly challenging for our servicemen and women, especially when it comes to finding a new job,” said Sowash. “Yet, these individuals often have a wealth of skills that make them ideal employees. I am honored to lead Randstad Sourceright’s veteran recruiting program to help employers expand their veteran hiring efforts, adapt to changing regulations and ensure that more veterans find meaningful work.”
