Daystar Helps to Improve the Lives of Israeli Children Living with Cancer

DALLAS - Jan. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Daystar Television Network has made a $25,000 donation to Larger than Life, an Israeli organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children living with cancer, and their families, in Israel.

The donation was made by Daystar President and CEO Marcus Lamb via Skype during a Larger than Life fundraising event on December 21, 2014.

“What a joy it is for Daystar Television and its partners to contribute to the Israeli organization, Larger than Life,” said Marcus Lamb. “This outstanding ministry has been improving the lives of children living with cancer since 2000, regardless of faith, race or gender, through activities and projects such as: The Smile Train, summer camp, establishing music and computer rooms in hospitals, dream trips to Disney, medication funding, fun days for mothers, and making dreams come true. We are thrilled to contribute $25,000 to this wonderful organization.”

Daystar has donated to Larger than Life in the past, and has always stood behind the organization’s mission and goals. Thanks especially to the dear Daystar partners and donors for their generous hearts toward the sick children in Israel.”

Over the years, Daystar has been involved in numerous projects and organizations in Israel. Past ventures have included a $1 million donation towards the construction of a new Trauma and Rehabilitation Center at the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Tel Aviv; building the Daystar House of Hope, which provides a home for Holocaust survivors living below the poverty level; and Daystar’s “Heart for a Soldier” project, an initiative with the goal of providing protective eyewear to Israeli soldiers serving their country.
