Follow on Google News | Mount Baldy Ski Area Re-Opens Friday January 16By: Mount Baldy Ski Area Thanks to the dedicated effort of the ski areas hardworking staff and volunteers, the ski area is now operational and the management team will be working hard to bring back the ski areas loyal supporters. “Mount Baldy is a community ski area and we want to work with the local community to develop a plan for long term success. We have a long term vison for Mount Baldy Ski Area and in partnership with the local community we hope to re-invent the ski area into one of British Columbia’s must attend resorts.” stated Johnston This season the Sugarlump quad chair and the Magic Carpet will be open and based the limited terrain being available, prices for adult day passes will be set at only $29, with season passes set at $249 and family passes set at $449. Additionally, holders of season passes from other ski areas will receive a further 25% discount on these prices by presenting their passes at the ticket office. The initial plan is to be open only Friday through Sunday each week during this season. Major maintenance and preparatory efforts by Matt Koenig, Mountain Manager of Mount Baldy Ski Area and a small team of loyal former employees have been quietly under way over the last several weeks, with the goal of opening the ski hill on a limited basis this season.
