Zachary Tinkle #53 Named 2014 Central States Region (CSR) Super Cups Rookie Of The Year

PARK RIDGE, Ill. - Jan. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Tinkle Family Racing is proud to announce that up-and-coming twelve-year-old stock car racer, Zachary Tinkle #53 of Park Ridge, IL, has been named 2014 Central States Region (CSR) Super Cups Rookie Of The Year.  Tinkle also finished the season Top 5 (placing 5^th) in overall championship points for the 2014 season.

Zachary had a contentious rookie season riddled with a litany of mechanical issues that led to switching cars mid-season. In spite of that, he was coined “CSR Mayor” for his positive attitude and supportiveness of all teams in the pits when faced with adversity.

Upon acceptance of his championship trophy, Zachary said, “…I want to thank everybody who has helped us this season. It was pretty rough… had a lot of problems… I want to thank my parents… I want to thank everyone for their support… what else can I say?” When enthusiastically winning Rookie Of The Year honors, he said, “I want to thank all you guys. You’ve been so helpful to me. I want to thank my mom, my dad … for letting me get into this. I know it took a lot, …but in the end, it’s worth it.”

In addition to CSR honors during the 2014 season, Zachary Tinkle also won two indoor electric go-karting championships at K1 Speed in Addison, IL and continues to be ranked in the top 1% of all indoor electric go-kart drivers nationwide.

Zachary Tinkle is a 12-year-old driving sensation based in Park Ridge, IL that currently races the #53 ½ size stock car mini cups (also known as super cups) and indoor electric go-karts. He is the 2014 Central States Region (CSR) Rookie of the Year and placed Top 5 in championship points in his rookie season.

Tinkle has won a junior gas-powered indoor go-karting championship (Chicago Indoor Racing 2013) and two junior electric indoor go-karting championships (K1 Speed 2014). He has family ties to the Indianapolis and Richmond, IN areas and was born in Cincinnati, OH.

Zachary has aspirations of racing at the top levels of stock car racing including getting a ride with a NASCAR® team.
