Susan Tillery to Speak at AICPA Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference

ATLANTA - Jan. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Susan M. Tillery, CPA/PFS, CFP®, President and CEO of Paraklete® Financial, Inc  (PFI) will be one of nine instructors for Implementing Personal Financial Planning Services: Plans for Success. The Specialized Seminar will be held January 17-18 preceeding the 2015 AICPA Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada on Janaury 19-21.

The seminar will provide the tools needed to step into an expanded role as a personal financial advisor. Attendees will explore nine personal financial planning business models and learn from CPAs who have built practices that provide the highest client value. They will hear from compliance, teachnology and practice management experts and gain expert guidance needed to be most successful in providing PFP services.

Susan M. Tillery is President and co-founder of Paraklete® Financial, Inc. Susan has over 30 years of experience in tax, philanthropy, and financial planning, as well as in the administrative and compliance areas encountered by affluent individuals and families. Susan’s firm provides integrated fee-for-service financial planning.  Paraklete® Financial, Inc’s focus is on independence and objectivity. The firm acts as An Advocate in Financial Services® for its clients and therefore, does not manage assets or sell products.

Ms. Tillery’s experience at Harris myCFO, a multi-family office where she was responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive family office solutions to affluent families, together with her work at Arthur Andersen, Ronald Blue & Co and other financial firms provides the framework for Paraklete.
Susan earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting from the University of Georgia. She holds the professional designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).

Susan is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA). In addition, she is a member of the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Credentials Committee. She serves on the Board for The National Center for Stewardship and Generosity.  She has served as past Vice Chair for the Board of Directors for Partnership against Domestic Violence, as well as for Royal Treasure (an organization that energizes, motivates and educates women to be excellent biblical stewards).

Ms. Tillery speaks on the topics of: Financial Planning, CPA’s and Financial Planning, Financial Issues Facing Women, Responsibilities of Wealth, Charitable Giving, and Stewardship. She and her family reside in Kennesaw, Georgia.
