Follow on Google News | HDDVD-Revived.com Bring Back HD DVD'sBy: hddvdrevived.com Currently Hddvd-revived.com are still expanding their lines but are bring out new tiles every month. Most of their films are public domain but this does not mean they have simply ripped a poor copy of the original film and burned in on to disc. Hddvdrevived.com clearly take pride in what they do and are trying to bring new titles so the people that invested in the HD DVD market and lost out when Blu ray won. So they have spent time working on the perfect process to give the footage clarty, restored colour and create a better and fuller viewing experience with all their films, on all their formats. Though of course some may not be to today’s modern expectations, as some films are 80 – 90 years old and the original source footage can only be improved upon so much. Having said that it still pretty remarkable how much the viewing experience has been improved, on some of these classic titles. When you can watch the original Phantom of The Opera silent film from 1925 on a big screen and in HD DVD quality it really is quite amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as to me it is an all-time classic, that has lived on in so many forms. Though some might turn their nose up at anything that isn’t the latest hit. I see the value in supporting sites like these. Their product is good and they are constantly bringing out new films, and like anything it has to start small and gain support to branch out further. That’s why I think it worth buying your favourite classic, or film you always wanted to see, from them. The bigger they get the more it becomes a possibility for them to be in a position to by rights to bigger or independent films and then we might see a lot more films coming out on HD DVD once again.
