SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Jan. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Professional athletes might have hours to spend in the gym every day, but for the rest of us who are too crunched for time to squeeze in crunches, that’s impossible.  So leave it to a pro athlete to solve the problem of getting the full benefit of working out, and then some, without spending a bulk of your life at the fitness center.  When FieldFit officially opens in Paradise Plaza on Saturday, Jan. 17, it will mark a significant shift in how area residents think about getting fit.  Forget the lengthy stretches on the treadmill or elliptical machine, rushing to make a workout class, or wandering around bewilderedly looking for equipment that you can actually use without instruction.  Instead, a fun, fast-paced rotation of nine stations will effectively burn fat, enhance body strength, and stabilize the core, in just 30 minutes.   The group personal training fitness center is the brainchild of Scottsdale native Ryan Buch, a former pitcher in the Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies systems.  Buch sought to give the public – anyone interested in health and fitness as well as the sports-specific athlete – the benefit of a targeted, professionally guided workout while accommodating busy schedules, and keeping them injury-free during the workout and in their daily lives.   “FieldFit’s slogan is ‘30 minutes, no limits,’ and that sums up what we’re all about,” says Buch. “Circuit training sustains an elevated heart rate while strengthening your muscles, and as a result burns more fat than traditional cardio workouts.  In just a half an hour of circuit training, you will burn more calories than you would if you spent an hour on an elliptical, while staying safe.”   Much as professional coaches and trainers seek to keep players from getting hurt so they’re available to play, the FieldFit routine is designed to minimize injuries.  So each station builds to the next one, warming up the muscles that will be used next.    Exclusively employing former pro athletes as trainers, FieldFit ensures its members will benefit from their years of experience working out with top team physiologists and training staff.  FieldFit also strives for a friendly, supportive environment, where clients will be greeted by name every time they walk in and will have many opportunities to socialize with other members and staff.    FieldFit’s grand opening celebration, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 17th, will give residents a chance to tour the state-of-the-art facility designed by famed fitness center designer Cuoco Black, and talk with FieldFit’s trainers, who guide members from one station to the next.  Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Addison Reed will be on-hand to sign autographs and pose for pictures from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and visitors can get a free body composition analysis when they sign up for a nutrition consultation with Smart Nutrition.  Kaleidoscope Juice will provide its signature high-vibe food and cold-pressed juice, and will hand out 10 percent off coupons for all its locations.   FieldFit, whose soft opening was Jan. 7, 2015, requires no long-term contract.  After paying a one-time registration fee, members go month-to-month, and can work out as often as they want, for a fraction of what most personal and group personal fitness training centers charge.  Grand opening sign-ups will have the registration fee waived, and 5 percent of members’ first month fee will be donated to Future for Kids, which conducts sports activities and camps for Scottsdale area youth, and mentors them to develop mind, body and character.    Grand opening activities will be held in and outside of FieldFit Gym at Paradise Plaza, 4848 E. Cactus Road, Scottsdale.  For more information about FieldFit or the grand opening celebration, visit http://www.fieldfitgym.com or http://www.facebook.com/FieldFitGym, or call 623-218-7181.
