Financial Life Planning Workshop for Women

SARASOTA, Fla. - Jan. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Sandy Keir of Suncoast Advisory Group will present a Financial Life Planning Workshop for Women on Thursday, January 15.

Part of the "Women Taking Control" educational series, the interactive workshop will be held in the private dining room of The Francis, 1289 N. Palm Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34236. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the program starts at 6 p.m.

Keir is part of a small, but growing cadre of life-centered financial professionals who are leading the trend to integrate life planning with financial planning. “Rather than telling our clients how to use their life to make money, we lead them on a journey of using their money to achieve the life they want,” said Keir.

This workshop will lead participants through a series of exercises to determine:

Am I satisfied with my spending habits and the level of debt I have?
Am I prepared for the sale of a family business, change in my marital status, or the death of my spouse or an elderly parent?
Am I confident that I will have enough retirement income and be able to afford health care costs?

Financial life planning, also known as purpose-based planning, is a holistic process that focuses on the client’s financial well-being and life satisfaction. Advisors are required to go through an extensive training program before they implement the process with a client. The advisor training features resources from Money Quotient Inc., a non-profit organization and leading provider of research-based financial life planning tools and training for financial professionals.

Keir has more than 25 years of experience in the wealth management industry. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and is Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC).
