Four Businesses Opening in New Mixed-Use Luxury Apartment Community Junction 15

DALLAS - Jan. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Four local retailers, 7-Eleven, Paws Dog Barkery, The Day Spa and Amazeballz are opening on the ground floor of the new Junction 15, a luxury-living community located in the historic downtown area of Plano, Texas. 7-Eleven and Paws Dog Barkery are currently open; The Day Spa and Amazeballz are expected to open in early 2015. A fifth retailer will soon be joining Junction 15 and will be announced early in 2015.

Southern Land Company, the developer of Junction 15, expects these businesses to support its vision of creating a pedestrian-friendly, urban lifestyle with the opening of the six-story urban mid-rise development. Paul Neuroth, senior vice president of retail leasing at Southern Land Company, represented Southern Land on the Junction 15 development. Other Dallas-area properties developed by Southern Land Company include The Lofts at Watters Creek (Allen, Texas), Art House (Keller, Texas) and Tucker Hill (McKinney, Texas).

Junction 15 will be anchored with an urban, 3,000-square-foot 7-Eleven convenience store. 7‑Eleven, Inc. is the world’s largest convenience store chain with more than 54,200 stores in 16 countries. Customers will enjoy quick and easy access to the usual grocery staples including fresh foods and bakery items delivered daily, hot foods and the 7-Eleven private brand, 7-Select.

Paws Dog Barkery is a family-owned, full-lined dog boutique that sells food, toys, chews and many other items for pets. The “barkery” will occupy approximately 1,374 square feet, providing a wide array of dog products for the downtown Plano community. Using only the finest all-natural and/or organic human grade ingredients, all of their treats are rolled and cut by hand without the use of a machine.

A nail, massage and skin care salon, The Day Spa, will fill a 1,456-square-foot space in Junction 15. The 10-year-old company currently has locations all across the Dallas/Fort Worth area.Jared Caplan of Key Sites, Inc. served as the outside broker for The Day Spa’s new space in Junction 15.

Amazeballz is a unique cake ball bakery offering bite-size treats in more than 30 perfectly crafted varieties. Owner and operator Jaime Wiggins bakes, rolls and hand dips classic chocolate and vanilla cake balls, in addition to some exotic and seasonal flavor combinations like Pina Colada and Chocolate Maple Bacon. This will be the first store-front location for Wiggins, who was a home baker for a year before setting up shop in a commercial kitchen, which she soon outgrew before moving into the current Junction 15 space. Andy Anderson of Anderson Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc. served as the outside broker for Amazeballz new 1,028-square-foot space.

These new retail shops are located on the first floor of Junction 15 apartments, located at 930 East 15^th Street, in the heart of downtown Plano. Residents have access to a number of on-site, resort-style amenities, and are steps away from downtown Plano’s historic district which features bars, cafes, restaurants, festivals and shopping.
