TrueFortune Cookies Creates “Distinguished Person Award”

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Jan. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- TrueFortune Cookies believes the world would be a better place if people paid tribute to and honored those individuals – including possibly themselves –

that have led normal, if unremarkable, lives.  To provide a means by which people can bestow such recognition, the company has created the “Distinguished Person Award” which it is available to everyone online at no charge.

     TrueFortune Cookies is a Santa Monica, CA-based company that creates a brighter environment for people by sending them uplifting and sometimes irreverent messages each day through e-mails.  Free of charge, people who wish to receive the daily messages can subscribe to the service through the company’s website at www.truefortunes.com.

     In making the announcement of the new award recognition program, David Lee, Founder of TrueFortune Cookies, remarked: “All too often in life, we fail to recognize those people in our lives that may not be exceptional in any way, but help make our world go around.  This could include our self.  It’s time we take notice and say to them, ‘we know you exist and are relevant and we want to recognize and honor you for that’.”

     Lee noted that the award is in the form of a certificate which people can access directly online at www.distinguishedaward.com or through the company’s website at the bottom of the “Helpful Hints” page.  The award can be downloaded at no charge.  He said that the name of the person to be honored can be inserted in a designated space under the text: “Distinguished Person Award in Honor of.”  Below the name, he reported is the following text which describes why the award is being presented:

For getting out of bed this morning

For maintaining at least the appearance of normalcy

For being a decent person most of the time

    Lee’s said his vision for the award is that it will eventually be utilized to honor people and provide recognition to them in both the home and workplace and the recipients will accept the award in the spirit for which it was given.  He stressed: “No act of kindness or thoughtfulness, no matter how inconsequential it may seem, should be ignored, dismissed or go unappreciated.  Every form of positive outreach and recognition has value.”
