Congratulations Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez on being elected into the HOF!

Randy Johnson recieved 97.3%, 534 out of 549, voting ballots casted. Pedro Martinez recieved 91.1%, 500 out of 549, voting ballots casted.

Randy Johnson nicknamed "The Big Unit", a five time Cy Young Award winner, was known for having one of the most dominant fastballs in Major League Baseball with speeds regularly approaching 100 miles per hour. Johnson is a member of the 300 wins club (303) and 3,000 strikeout club (4,875). Johnson threw a no hitter on June 2, 1990 and a perfect game on May 18, 2004. He led the Arizona Diamondbacks to their first World Series championship in 2001 where he was named co-World Series MVP. In 2002, he won the pitching Triple Crown leading the National League in wins (24), ERA (2.32) and strikeouts (334).

Pedro Martinez, a former three time Cy Young Award winner, dominated MLB hitters throughout the 1990's and 2000's. Martinez compiled an impressive record of 219 wins to only 100 losses. Martinez was selected to eight MLB All Star games. He won the 1999 pitching Triple Crown with 23 victories, 313 strikeouts and a 2.07 ERA. In 2004, Pedro Martinez helped the Boston Red Sox capture their first World Series championship in 86 years.
