Fitness and Rehab Studio Opens on Old Kings Road in Palm Coast

PALM COAST, Fla. - Jan. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Local Flagler County residents David and Desiree Challice have opened PEAK Fitness & Rehab in Palm Coast offering personal training, Pilates, golf fitness, and concierge physical therapy. The facility is a professional fitness studio owned and operated by physical therapists.

“We consider ourselves movement specialists and wellness coaches since both of us have fitness and physical therapy backgrounds,” said co-owner of PEAK Fitness & Rehab David Challice. “We spend a lot of one-on-one time with our clients and their successes are truly motivating. They are able to get back to enjoying what they love to do again – golf, tennis, running and more,” Challice added.

The couple has lived in Flagler County since 2005. Desiree holds a doctorate in physical therapy and is a certified Pilates instructor. She is the former staff PT for Easter Seals for East Volusia/Flagler County Schools, and the current Flagler County Schools PT. She has worked with clients and patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatric. David has a four-year degree and extensive experience treating physical therapy clients in both outpatient and home health settings. David is a former golf pro, as well as a graduate of the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). He was one of the first 50 fitness pros (Level 3) certified in the U.S. in 2007 by TPI. In addition, he has become a golf instructor (Level 2) and Junior Coach (Level 2) instructor by TPI. They are both Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) with over 25 years combined experience in both the fitness and physical therapy fields.

Desiree and David Challice launched PEAK Fitness to assist and motivate people to transform their bodies and lives. Many of PEAK Fitness & Rehab’s clients are active adults that are seeking help with pain, movement issues and more. They also work on sports conditioning with younger athletes/adults to help decrease their risk of injury and to promote their peak performance. They pride themselves on looking at the whole body versus just one issue. They are the only facility in Flagler County that offers equipment based Pilates. They offer private, semi-private, and small group classes.

They host 21-day kick start challenges and encourage people to improve their life, feel better, drop clothing sizes, start a transformation process, or to simple move better.
