MALIBU, Calif. - Jan. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Rebecca Crownover is an award winning author who has won several awards with her first children's book, “My Daddy Is in Heaven with Jesus”. She continues to pave the road in the children’s book industry impacting children through her writing with her latest book “Texas Farm Girl”, a book that helps kids learn about real farm life, based on her own experiences.
A partner in Lone Star Family Farms which grows high-yield crops and premium seed products such as corn, wheat, cotton, seed milo and canola for Monsanto, Pioneer, and others. Rebecca launched a second career in 2012 as an author publishing her first book, “My Daddy Is in Heaven with Jesus”, a book that has comforted and touched the lives of many children and adults who have suffered a parent’s loss. In her latest children’s book “Texas Farm Girl”, she tells the story of a Texas farm girl working with her father who teaches her about farming and the story of the challenges they endure and despite the difficulties, how much they love what they do.
Ms. Crownover took time out of her busy day in the farming business to sit down with Doug Llewlyn to discuss her books and the impact it has had on her life and on the lives of others. Although writing was just a second career that she launched and really enjoyed her primary career is the owner and partner in Lone Star Family Farm which is considered to be one of the most innovative, productive and competitive agricultural producer in the Texas Panhandle while remaining the crop production employer of choice.
According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, 2.2 million farms dot America’s rural landscape. About 97 percent of U.S. farms are operated by families – individuals, family partnerships or family corporations.
