Finding Biker-Friendly Places Gets Easier as “Trip Advisor for Bikers” Launches

BRADFORD, U.K. - Jan. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- A new website, BikerPlaces.co.uk, has just been launched to help bikers looking for reliable information on biker-friendly places to stay, have a drink or a bite to eat and hold events and meet-ups.

The site's owner, Chris Pattinson, himself a lifelong biker, created the Biker Places website as he wanted a site where he could find listings and recommendations of biker-friendly establishments, without having to search Google and trawl through sites that mainly consisted of paid advertisements. He says: “I have been riding motorcycles for most of my adult life, and saw a need for a Trip Advisor style site aimed at bikers. I often search Google for ‘biker friendly’ this and that and I very much doubt I am the only one.”

The Biker Places website has special sections for Bike Nights and Meets, Biker Pubs, Cafes, Campsites and Hotels and Self-Catering Accommodation as well as a section for events that are taking place of interest to bikers. Registered users can add to the listings and events as well as contributing reviews to help other bikers looking for biker-friendly places.

At present, the site is still in its infancy. However, Chris sees Biker Places developing into a valuable resource as a site where bikers can help one another by sharing information and opinions on places to visit. He says: “Most of the other biker directory sites are full of paid adverts. Biker Places is different as it will be full of listings recommended by actual bikers. Because people can list their pubs, cafes, accommodation and events free of charge and we encourage website users to post their reviews and experiences, bikers can be confident that the listing is not just there because someone has opened their cheque book.”

The owners of biker-friendly places, including pubs, cafes, campsites, hotels and self-catering accommodation, are invited to create a free listing on the Biker Places website. Their free text listing can include the address, a contact phone number and a photo. Establishments that wish to create enhanced listings with extra photos, embedded videos and a link to their websites and social media pages can take out a paid listing for just £15 for six months.
